Problem Solving Through Negotiation in Program Evaluation: Anne Markiewicz

The development of a range of negotiation skills in program evaluation is essential to the achievement of successful outcomes from the process of program evaluation. The soft skills of communication, negotiation and problem solving can be even more important to the success of program evlauation than the technical skills of data collection and analysis.

This workshop will focus on the development of negotiation skills by evaluators for use with contract managers and key stakeholders involved in program evaluation. These skills are very useful in resolving many of the problems or challenges that naturally emerge in the process of undertaking an evaluation.

This workshop seeks to equip participants with a beginning understanding of negotiation theory and to apply this theory to the context of program evaluation. It also aims to increase the skills and confidence of participants in addressing conflicts or problems that may emerge during the course of program evaluation.

This workshop is aimed at… both those new to program evaluation and those with experience.
