Managing Evaluations: Penny Hawkins This workshop is aimed at new or prospective managers of evaluations and evaluation teams as well as experienced evaluators who wish to further develop their knowledge and skills in evaluation management. The workshop will be interactive and will cover issues such as: planning and managing evaluation work programs; managing professional evaluation staff and contracted evaluation teams; working with operational managers and senior staff; working jointly with other agencies; and managing the reporting, dissemination and use of evaluations. The workshop will comprise short presentations, group discussions and individual and group exercises. The workshop will also include guided discussions on key issues such as: evaluation leadership; dealing with conflict and evaluation anxiety; and responding to political pressures. Participants will be expected to engage in discussion on evaluation management issues and on completion of the workshop have gained new knowledge and skills to assist in managing evaluation teams.
