Accommodation Deposit
Rooms are being held by Meeting Masters on behalf of the delegates until 1 August 2008 . All hotel accommodation bookings must be accompanied by a minimum one night's rate in order to secure a reservation. Meeting Masters will accept accommodation deposits up to 1 August 2008 and will forward credit card details or deposits to the respective hotels. All delegates must settle the balance of their account with the hotel concerned upon check out.

Any last minute bookings can be made through Meeting Masters after 1 August 2008 will be subject to availability and credit card details are required to secure the reservation. One night's room rate will be deducted from the supplied card, by the hotel, if the reservation is cancelled or the delegate fails to arrive on the specified date.

How To Book Accommodation
To book, complete either the online registration form or the downloadable PDF Registration Form once registration has been opened. The contact details, reservation and deposit or credit card details will be forwarded to the hotel that you have selected.

Change of Booking
Any changes to the reservation must be notified to Meeting Masters and not to the hotel. Please note, any changes should be made in writing no later that Friday 1 August 2008 to Meeting Masters.

Late Arrivals
Please indicate on your registration form or notify Meeting Masters if you will arrive at your hotel after 1500 hours, failure to do so may mean that your room will be released.

Arrival Time
Hotel check-in time is usually 1400 hours. Any arrival prior may mean that you will not be able to gain access to your room. To guarantee a room to be available for an early arrival you will need to book and pay for your room for the previous night. If required please indicate on your registration form.

Accommodation Refunds
The accommodation deposit is non refundable and any cancellations on or after 1 August 2008 and will also be forfeited if you do not arrive on the date for which you have booked. Cancellations must be in writing to Meeting Masters.

ACCESS AROUND PERTH

Public Transport
Public Transport in Perth is modern, very accessible and in many cases complimentary. From the proposed venue access to accommodation can be through walking, the CAT bus system, train, ferry, own transport or taxi. See Free Transit Zone for further information.

Trains
A modern electric train system that connects the city to most suburban areas. The trains then connect with a network of buses to service the public transport demand. The train system is simple to negotiate and very safe.

Buses and Ferries
These service the train system to ensure the city and suburbs are covered. Within the city there is a complimentary bus service . Any bus operating within the city centre is free to all passengers travelling within the CBD.

There is also a scheduled, complimentary service called the “CAT” buses, which operate for extended hours through the city, West Perth, East Perth and the entertainment district of Northbridge. The CAT buses also cater for passengers with disabilities.

Private Transport
Perth is blessed with a modern road network incorporating major highways and well planned feeder roads that ensure good traffic flow. It is rare to experience traffic delays in Perth. Vehicles use the left hand lanes of the carriageway. There are a number of vehicle hire companies in Perth with national and international links.

Taxis
Taxis are regularly available from all hotels to the conference venue. From most CBD hotels you would expect a maximum 5 minute taxi ride.

Perth Airport
Perth airport is serviced by many of the major international carriers and has numerous direct flights throughout the world, to other Australian capital cities and to Kalgoorlie (a vibrant mining hotspot). The Sheraton Perth Hotel is 12 kilometres from the domestic airport. A taxi ride will take about 20 minutes and cost approximately AUD$21.00.  The international airport is located 19 kilometres from the hotel, and a taxi costs approximately AUD$27.00 and will take about 30 minutes.

Passports and Visas

A valid passport and visa are required by all nationalities to enter Australia. The type of visa needed depends on the length of stay and reason for visiting. Business visas allow for a number of visits over a set period of time.
